Narrative
Two 17 year-old teenagers passed away on April 21st when their vehicle ran head-on into another car on Route 68. Taylor Haffner was the driver who crossed into the opposite lane, and Osman Diaz was her passenger. Haffner had been driving her Honda Civic north when she crashed into a southbound Hyundai Tuscan. Both occupants of the Honda Civic died in the accident. Debra Knowles was the driver of the Hyundai. Both Debra and her passenger, Jodi Knowles, were hospitalized at Kettering Health Center. The Ohio Highway Patrol, Clark County Coroner’s Office, Springfield Township Fire & EMS, Springfield Police Department, Ohio Department of Transportation, Dan’s Towing, and German Township Police Department were all involved in responding to the accident. The investigation into this accident remains open.
