TOLEDO, OH – A driver was rushed to the hospital after their vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck on I-475 in northwest Toledo on Thursday morning.
Toledo police say the crash occurred sometime before 8 a.m. when a semi-truck slowed for traffic on the westbound side of the freeway, just past the I-75 interchange. The semi was then rear-ended by a pickup truck, which subsequently got pinned under the semi and caught fire.
The pickup’s driver, an unidentified 60-year-old, was extricated transported to a hospital in Toledo in serious condition.
