Narrative
PERRYSBURG, OH – Medics airlifted a 21-year-old man to the hospital on Monday afternoon after he was involved in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Perrysburg.
The accident occurred around 2:25 p.m. at the intersection of Luckey Road and Hanley Road, which is just west of I-280 and southwest of Toledo Executive Airport.
Police say that the westbound driver of a 2006 Buick LaCrosse failed to honor right-of-way at the intersection and crashed into a southbound 2005 Chevrolet Silverado. The collision caused the unrestrained driver of the Chevy to leave the roadway and hit both a street sign and a utility pole. He sustained critical injuries, for which he was taken to Mercy Health in Toledo.
The 77-year-old female driver of the Buick sustained minor injuries in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
