Narrative
PERRYSBURG OH – Two people went to the hospital on Friday afternoon following a semi-truck crash along the interstate in Perrysburg.
The incident happened around 3:40 p.m. on I-475 north of OH-25, which is just south of Mercy Health Hospital and north of The Town Center at Levis Commons.
Police say that an 18-wheeler hauling steel crashed along the interstate. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
Both the driver of the truck and a passenger went to the hospital for injuries of unknown severity.
Officials closed all northbound lanes of I-475 in the area of the crash until around 7:40 p.m. while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
