Narrative
RICHLAND TWP, OH – A 16-year-old boy went to the hospital with serious injuries Monday after crashing along the highway in Richland Township.
The incident happened just after 7 a.m. on the southbound side of US-22 near Lancaster. This is in south-central Fairfield County.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the young driver lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, and overturned.
Medics transported him via air ambulance to Nationwide Children’s Hospital with critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
