Narrative
RUSH TWP, OH – A 38-year-old man died Saturday morning when a vehicle struck him as he attempted to cross a major highway in Rush Township.
The incident happened just after 6 a.m. around mile marker 18 on OH-73, which is near McDermott.
Authorities pronounced the man deceased at the scene of the accident. They identified the victim as Derrick S. Cordle of Ashland, Kentucky.
Police do not suspect intoxication on the part of the driver, who remained at the scene to render aid and answer questions.
