Narrative
BURTON, OH – A 49-year-old man died Friday afternoon from injuries sustained in a head-on collision in eastern Geauga County.
The accident happened just before 5 p.m. on Clairdon-Troy Road just south of Tavern Road, which is in the Burton Wetlands.
Police say that a southbound motorcyclist collided head-on with a northbound pickup truck while attempting to pass two other vehicles.
The force of the collision threw the motorcyclist from his bike, and he died at the scene. Authorities identified him as Benjamin Derousse.
No other injuries have been referenced in connection to the crash.
