Narrative
DAYTON, OH – OHP troopers were called to the scene of a fatal single-vehicle crash in Highland County early Sunday.
According to investigators, William Hornschemeier, a 42-year-old resident of Lynchburg, was traveling west on Oldaker Road at about 5 a.m. when he was unable to negotiate a curve. As a result, his 2008 Mazda 3 veered off the left side of the road, colliding with a tree and catching fire.
Hornschemeier suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Troopers say he was not wearing a seatbelt when the incident occurred.
