Narrative
COLUMBUS, OH – A three-vehicle crash along the highway in northwest Columbus killed one person on Saturday night.
The accident happened just before 9 p.m. on OH-161 near Maplebrook Lane, which is just north of the Ohio State University Airport.
Police say that a westbound Dodge collided with a Subaru Forester when the latter vehicle attempted to make a left turn from Maplebrook onto the highway. This initial accident caused both vehicles to crash into a Subaru Outback.
The driver of the Forester died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity to the public.
Nobody else required hospitalization following the accident.
