Narrative
COLUMBUS, OH – One person died, and another went to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision at a busy intersection in the Maize-Morse area of north Columbus.
The incident happened at 5:36 p.m. at the intersection of Morse Road and Maize Road, which is east of I-71 and just northwest of Saraga International Grocery.
Police say that a westbound 2017 Honda Civic entered the eastbound lane of Morse Road and collided head-on with a 2012 Kia Soul.
The driver of the Kia died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities have not yet identified the victim.
Medics transported the driver of the Honda to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
At this time, it’s still unclear what might have caused the Honda to veer into oncoming traffic.
