Narrative
Maria Camacho, 41, sustained serious injuries after she was thrown from a car that was involved in a single vehicle accident on Columbus Avenue on April 10th. Kenneth Rice, 35, was operating the vehicle at the time. He lost control of the car around 1a.m. near Jefferson Street and swerved to the right, hitting a pole and a residence. Rice and another woman who was a passenger in the car were both hospitalized at Firelands Regional Medical Center. Camacho, who was seated in the back, flew out of the vehicle because she was not wearing a seat belt. She was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center. Authorities believe that drugs may have played a factor in this accident.
