Narrative
BOLIVAR, OH – A 64-year-old man died on Friday after a single-vehicle accident along a highway in southwest Stark County.
The incident happened around 11:53 p.m. on the western side of Bolivar along State Route 212 near Bardell Avenue Southwest. This is just west of the Tuscarawas River.
Police say that the unrestrained driver, identified as Eric Mallett, was headed west in a 2001 Chevrolet Impala when he lost control of his car and hit a tree along the highway.
Mallett died at the scene of the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
