TRUMBULL CO., OH – Eight people went to the hospital last Sunday after a two-vehicle collision in far-east Trumbull County.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on OH-7 near Thompson Sharpville Road, which is near the Ohio and Pennsylvania state-line between Brookfield Township and Weldon.
Police say the collision involved a Jeep Cherokee and a pickup truck and was likely caused by distracted driving.
Medics transported six people from the Jeep to the hospital. , one with serious injuries.
It’s unclear if the driver and passenger in the pickup sustained injuries.
The driver of the Jeep, identified as Ronald Jones was cited for the collision.
